Hi, I’m Matt Green—CEO of Blue Duck Lawn Care and Indy Christmas Light Pros, a dedicated entrepreneur, seasoned professional, and creative visionary. My mission is to help individuals and businesses pivot toward becoming the best versions of themselves, unlocking their full potential and embracing meaningful growth. As you can see in the image, we were once Green’s Lawncare & Property Services before a full rebrand and pivot to Blue Duck Lawn Care.

My Story
My journey began early, mowing lawns with my family at the age of 9. While I didn’t see it as my future at the time, my path eventually led me back to the green industry. After earning my teaching license and an Exercise Science degree from IUPUI, I explored teaching Physical Education but found it wasn’t my true calling. I then transitioned to a sales role at ComDoc, where I mastered relationship-building—a skill that would prove invaluable in my entrepreneurial journey.
In 2017, I founded Green’s Lawncare & Property Services in Indiana, starting with just me managing the work solo. Over time, the business grew exponentially, evolving from mowing lawns to offering a range of services, including landscaping, snow plowing, and ice management. Today, Green’s Lawncare has become a recognized name in its core neighborhoods, known for its bright yellow trucks and commitment to quality service.
My Evolution
From humble beginnings to a thriving business, Green’s Lawncare & Property Services has continuously adapted to meet the needs of its customers and the market. By 2021, I recognized the importance of specialization and resilience, leading to a strategic pivot in the company’s offerings. Today, the business focuses solely on Fertilization & Weed Control, Pest Control, and Christmas Light installations. This focused approach allows the company to scale beyond Indianapolis and positively impact more communities across the Midwest.
Once we found our niche’ we rebranded into Blue Duck Lawn Care and Indy Christmas Light Pro’s as we are known today.

When I am not at work, I spend quality time with my family and finds joy in connecting with the community through various campaigns and initiatives. I am also passionate about getting people outside and finding a love for nature and the woods. How can we connect with the outside world and find beauty in nature. It has a calming and centering effect when you can leave your devices behind and enjoy the true beauty of God’s creation.
